Quick answer
In Charlotte, a mobile hand wash runs about $40 to $140, a full interior detail about $195 to $395, and a wash and wax about $145 to $295. Paint correction and ceramic coating start around $495. The size of the vehicle and how dirty it is decide where you land in the range.
"How much is a detail?" is the first thing almost everyone asks us, and the honest answer is that it depends on the car. A two-door coupe that gets vacuumed every month is a very different job from a third-row SUV that's been hauling kids, dogs, and sports gear all summer.
Below are the real price ranges we charge around Charlotte, what pushes a job to the top or bottom of the range, and how to get the most out of what you spend.

What Changes the Price of a Detail
1. The size of the vehicle
A bigger vehicle has more carpet, more seats, more glass, and more paint. A third-row SUV can take close to twice as long as a sedan, so it costs more. That's why every price above is split by size.
2. The condition it's in
This is the big one. Pet hair, sand, heavy stains, spilled drinks, mud on the carpet, and months without a vacuum all add time. A car in decent shape lands at the bottom of the range. A car that's been through a lot lands at the top. Smoke smell is its own job and is priced separately.

3. How far you want to take it
A wash and a spray wax is quick. A wash and wax with a clay bar takes longer. Paint correction, where the clear coat gets machine polished to take out swirls, can take most of a day. Ceramic coating usually comes after some polishing, so the prep is part of the price.
4. Bundling services
When we're already at your house, doing two services at once saves setup time. Book two or more services together and we'll take some off the total.
How Much Is a Full Detail, Inside and Out?
A "full detail" usually means a full interior detail plus a wash and wax. Using our ranges, that works out to about:
- Sedan or coupe: about $340 to $440 before the bundle discount
- Small SUV or midsize truck: about $440 to $540 before the bundle discount
- 3-row SUV, full-size truck, or van: about $540 to $690 before the bundle discount
If the inside is in decent shape, a mini interior with a premium hand wash is a cheaper way to freshen up the whole car.
Is Mobile Detailing More Expensive Than a Shop?
Usually not by much, and sometimes not at all. A shop has rent to pay; a mobile detailer has a van, a water tank, and a generator. Where mobile really wins is your time. You don't drive across town, wait around, or find a ride back. You hand over the keys and keep your day.
The one thing to watch for with any detailer is a price that seems too low. A $60 "full detail" is usually a quick vacuum and a spray-on shine. Ask what's included before you book.

How to Get the Most for Your Money
- Empty the car first. Pull out the trash, car seats, and gear. More of the time you pay for goes into the actual cleaning.
- Send photos. Photos of the seats, floors, and paint in the sun get you an exact price, not a guess.
- Bundle. Inside and out on the same visit costs less than two separate trips.
- Keep up with it. A mini interior every month or two keeps the car from needing a heavy full interior.
- Protect the paint. A wax or ceramic coating makes every wash after it faster and easier, especially during pollen season.
How Often Should You Get Your Car Detailed in Charlotte?
For most people around Charlotte, a hand wash every two to four weeks and a full interior two to four times a year keeps a car in great shape. In spring, pollen season can mean washing about once a week. Here's our guide on getting pollen off your car without scratching the paint.
