Smoke odor is very powerful and can be very hard to eliminate. The odor gets in the fibers of your seats, seat belts and all over your interior.
The extent to which we can eliminate the odor comes down to two main factors: 1) how long the vehicle has been smoked in and 2) how much it's been smoked in.
If the smoke odor has been sitting for longer, and was smoked in more intensively, than the process will take much longer. If the vehicle is in severely bad condition, the chances of the odor being completely removed are much lower.
At that point, we can definitely reduce the odor, but to achieve 100% elimination you may need to replace some of the fabric surfaces such as, carpets, headliner and seats.
In-Depth Interior Cleaning and Odor Removal Process
The process is similar to our Full Interior Cleaning but is much more intensive and will take longer than the normal 3 hours. For this service we require the vehicle to be dropped off at my home location in Charlotte and stay for 2 days to ensure the process is done correctly.
The goal of this service is not just to mask the smell with air freshener. This is to remove and reduce the layers of built-up nicotine and tobacco in laying all in the interior.
We've successfully dealt with some seriously smoky cars in the past year, and we're fully confident in our approach. We can coordinate a time and date to give the car an inspection. We'll check out your car's interior, chat about the options, and figure out the best solution for you.
There’s not many places in Charlotte that specialize in proper smoke odor removal. You can not just Shampoo the seats to achieve optimal results.

Smoke Odor Removal Process
1. Thorough Vacuum
All surfaces in your cars interior will be vacuumed. This includes everything from the carpet to the headliner.
2. Thorough Clean of all Plastic and Leather
All plastic and leather surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned with specific smoke odor removal cleaners and products.
3. Shampoo and Extract Fabric
Using our Hot water extractor, and tobacco specific cleaner, we will shampoo the carpet, seats, floor matts and headliner if possible
4. Clean all Widows and Mirrors.
All interior windows and mirrors will be cleaned and left streak-free
5. Dry Interior
Before we carry on with the Final step, we must ensure that all interior surfaces are dry. We may use fans to speed up the drying process.
6. Ozone Treatment
With our Ozone Machine, we are able to leave it on for 2-5 hours depending on the condition and severity of the smoke odor. We may repeat this process if needed.
Replace Your Air Filter
In order for this process to be performed properly, you must replace your cabin air filter with a new one. If you leave the same one in, once you turn on the A/C, all of the smoked odor trapped in your old filter will be released back in to your car.
Although this is only a 6 step process, it can still take a very long time (10-15 hrs). The longest part of this process is the ozone treatment. We will repeat the process as many times as we need to to achieve the best results possible.

We do offer mobile detailing services, but due to the comprehensiveness of the cleaning, we require it to be dropped off at our location in Charlotte to ensure the process is performed smoothly.
Will all of the odor be removed?
this all depends on the severity of the smoke odor and how long it has been smoked in. We can not guarantee that all of the smoke odor will be removed but our goal is to remove as much as we can, or eliminate it completely if possible. If the smoke odor comes back a few days after the process has been completed, we will perform another Ozone Treatment at no extra cost
Do you remove seats?
We do not. We have several different tools, machines and brushes that allow us to thoroughly clean in all tough to reach areas.
What products do you use?
In our odor removal service, we use specialized products and equipment, not the regular interior cleaning products we usually use for our Full Interior Cleaning. This is to effectively neutralize and eliminate smoke odors. Our approach involves specific chemicals targeted at breaking down and removing those persistent smells, ensuring a thorough and long-lasting result.
