Does Your Paint Have Some White Specs On It? Does It Feel Rough To The Touch? This Is Paint Overspray
If you see some white specs on your paint that feel rough than you have some paint overspray on your vehicle. This is due to tiny white paint particles landing on your car.
There's a couple different things that can cause this but the most common way is from something like construction or someone painting outside. If someone is painting or if there is some construction going on nearby, then the wind can carry tiny specs of paint that could potentially land on your vehicle.
This could get all over your vehicle including your windows, doors, trim rims and even inside of your vehicle if you keep your windows open. Removing this can be a very tedious process and you can damage your paint if you do not remove it correctly
If you are looking to get something like paint protection film (PPF) or a ceramic coating then the paint overspray must be removed.
Attempting To Remove Paint Overspray The Wrong Way Can Damage Your Paint
Nobody likes to see these white specs of paint on there car but attempting to remove it yourself can do damage to your paint. Trying to remove it with something like a towel, t-shirt or razor will just make the situation worse.
We use safe ways to remove the overspray. However this could still cause some light marring to the paint that we will remove with a light polish.
If you have already tried removing it yourself and you have damaged your paint, then you will most likely need a paint correction to remove the swirls and scratches.
Our Paint Overspray Removal Process
1. Hand Wash
We will wash the car from top to bottom with quality wash mitts and car soap
2. Strip/Decontamination
Using a clay bar and adhesive remover, we will begin to remove the overspray.
3. Wipe Down
We will wipe down the area to remove any chemicals on the paint.
4. Light Polish
We will polish the affected areas to remove any light marring, swirls and scratches.
5. Shine/Protect Paint
We will apply our wax or sealant for some extra shine and protection
6. Trim and Tire Dressing
We will apply our trim and tire dressing to add some extra pop and protection

Can your remove overspray from glass or plastic?
In most cases, yes. We are able to remove it from any surface but in some cases it may be much harder. This depends on the surface and the condition and how ling it has been there. Sometimes we may not guarantee 100% removal however, it will come back looking significantly better.
